We found this place as we stayed in St Idesbald coastal town. It was a surprise from beginning till end. From the appetiser at the start to the fabulous Bouillabaisse (very yummy fish soup) full of massive bits of lovely fish) the advice of which beer to have with it and the gorgeous location full of history. Who needs Bruges! Go to Veurne instead, no tourists and the lovely coast nearby. The top of it all was the ceramics that were for sale too and the enthusiasm of the owners was heartfelt. Well I went back with another guest two days later and can’t stop talking about the place. A bit too excited, but will definitely travel back and go there with friends! Yes we bought 4 vases too and they are now in my living room reminding me of a great evening in Belgium.

I got a warm welcome as I always do from Martine. I've been coming here at least 10 years as I like the building and the beer. The food is served in generous amounts. There's always an amuse-bouche and some nice bread too. I always drink St Bernardus Abt12 but I really should make use of Martine's wide knowledge of beer. There were also special greetings on the table for me
A nice restaurant in the centrum of Veurne. The food is very good and the service very friendly. The special thing about this restaurant is that they owner/cook makes pottery, the plates you eat on and so on are his creations. The pottery is for sale too. The wife of the the owner is specialized in beers, so she can suggest the best beer for the dinner of your choosing. And she can give a little bit of background about the brewery and history of the beer. There is even a dessert beer! A unique experience, especially for beer lovers.
Very cute, rustic and pleasent restaurant. The owners are extremely friendly and serve good meals and beverages, especially for beer lovers. They also have home made ceramics. On top of that it is the 2nd oldest house in Veurne with some authentic elements. All the restaurants in Veurne are cosy but this one has a special touch to it.
Can highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, great food and absolutely top service. Absolutely loved the whole experience. Thank you to such a great team.

Tasty, hearty fare in a beautiful historic setting. Veurne is worth visiting in it's own right but this place is a real gem. A great pleasure to come to such a welcoming and genuine restaurant. The food was really excellent and the expert advice on beer pairings was great. We certainly didn't leave hungry or thirsty.
